Adriane is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Dana Point, California. Her interest in helping others at a young age led to the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services with a minor in Women’s Studies at California State University, Fullerton. Adriane attended graduate school at CSUF as well and earned a Master of Science Degree in Counseling. While in graduate school Adriane worked as an assistant to a naturopath physician and acupuncturist, an experience which provided a compelling argument to the truth of the mind-body connection and the powerful impact of one’s emotional world on physical health. After completing her formal education, Adriane gained much of her counseling experience working with individuals affected by verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. Exposure to this population added to a search of alternative approaches and mind-body techniques that could heal individuals quickly, safely, and completely.
Adriane believes that profound and lasting change emerge through the use of client-centered and holistic modalities, integrating traditional psychotherapy theories and practice with alternative approaches. A safe and compassionate therapeutic relationship is of great importance in fostering healing . Additionally, family of origin experiences and attachment dynamics are crucial in the exploration and eventual awareness of present occupational, social and intrapsychic functioning.
